First executive search stick rate revealed

Christian & Timbers reveals that 94% of its candidates stay with their client companies

Christian & Timbers has become the first executive search firm to release an audited candidate ‘stick rate’ - the percent of candidates placed at a client company and still employed by the company in the same, similar or elevated position.

The executive search firm achieved a stick rate of 94% for the period of January 2005 to June 30, 2006.

In addition, the firm announced an audited `average number of days to placement` of executives placed in 2005 at 146 days. A placement occurs when the client has chosen a candidate who is placed in the role, whether from an outside hire or an internal promotion. However, 80% of the firm’s placements took an average of 104 days.

Brian Sullivan, chairman and chief executive, says: “Increasing transparency in our industry empowers clients and sets the bar for search firms. Performance, quality and results all get better when they are measured. We expect that clear performance metrics will lead to greater understanding of the value of executive search as a strategic consulting service.”

The audit was carried out by certified public accountants Hausser + Taylor.
