Temp Check software launched

BackgroundChecking.com, an Experian company, has launched Temp Check, a background checking service specifically designed for the fast and efficient checking of temporary workforces.
Temp Check provides an automated and rapid overnight service for background checking temporary workers. Once candidates give their consent to a background check, BackgroundChecking.com can undertake a Temp Check, providing reports to the HR department or recruitment agency the next day.
Steve Bailey, managing director of BackgroundChecking.com, says: “It has long been recognised by HR and other departments within organisations that the use of temporary staff and contractors represent a largely ignored risk to an enterprise.
“There is also a perceived inability to perform timely and cost effective checks on individuals who are not considered long-term employees, and even a tendency to ignore the risk and hope that no problems occur with unchecked staff.
“However, this is too much of a risk to take. It is essential that organisations protect themselves, their workforce and the public at large.”

The following comments have been posted in response to this article:I agree with Jullian. database searches are not thorough and I would never entrust the security and safety of my business to a database. Only complete and thorough investigations by competent investigators allow me to sleep soundly at night. Yes, databases are fast and cheap but the risks associated with not doing a complete investigation is worth spending a few extra bucks.

Online databases are inaccurate and not thorough; I would not trust the reputation and integrity of my company in the hands of a non-human investigation on a potential employee.
