AndersElite goes mobile

AndersElite, the construction recruitment agency, has launched a mobile WAP version of its website.
Karen Nicholls, media director at AndersElite says: “We were seeking a technology which would enable candidates to apply for vacancies wherever and whenever they wanted. As many of our candidates are not office based and are often on the move, we planned to make use of existing mobile technology so that they could view and apply for jobs, even when they did not have access to a PC.”
Nicholls adds that the surge in demand for mobile websites coupled with the increase in WAP, 3G and Blackberry use will significantly alter the way candidates search and apply for jobs.
“Although mobile job applications will become more popular, we see the option as complementary to our traditional online service, giving jobseekers the option of where and when they view and apply for jobs, effectively giving them another tool in their jobseeking toolbox,” she says.
The technology behind the website was developed by 4MAT.
