DRIVING RECRUITMENT

Published: 23 August 2007

Macis has launched Shift Manager, new software which allows driver agencies and haulage companies to computerise their administration systems, while enforcing compliance of all the current relevant regulations.

The software enables the operator to add new shifts, allocate only compliant drivers, complete the shift timings and then run numerous reports designed to provide management with quality information for reporting past performance and forecasting future requirements.

New ‘bolt on’ additions to the package include the automated handling of SMS text messages both in and out of the system, allowing users to offer shifts to the driver by text and to record and document acceptances within the system. If a driver fails to respond to a shift offer, the system will alarm to remind the operator a shift has not been accepted.

Reports and communications with clients can be produced and transmitted directly from the system, and when required, the system automatically emails documents to the respective recipient.

All activity is monitored and recorded in the system log in readiness for an audit should that ever be necessary.
