Recruiter this week launches the call for entries for the Recruiter Awards for Excellence 2008, supported by Thomas International.

This year marks a new era for the awards, with a set of new categories as well as categories that have been redefined to better represent recruitment industry sectors.

The 2008 Awards categories:

1. Best Accountancy Recruitment Firm - Open to all recruitment firms providing recruitment solutions to the Accountancy profession
 
2. Best Construction Recruitment Firm* - Open to all recruitment firms providing recruitment solutions to the Construction industry
 
3. Best Engineering Recruitment Firm* - Open to all recruitment firms providing recruitment solutions to the Engineering industry
 
4. Best Financial Services & Banking Recruitment Firm* - Open to all recruitment firms providing recruitment solutions to the Financial Services and Banking sectors
 
5. Best Health Care/Medical Recruitment Firm* - Open to all recruitment firms providing recruitment solutions to the Health Care sector
 
6. Best Human Resources Recruitment Firm* - Open to all recruitment firms providing recruitment solutions to HR professionals
 
7. Best International Recruitment Firm - Open to all recruitment firms registered in the UK or Eire with international hubs
 
8. Best IT Recruitment Firm - Open to all recruitment firms providing recruitment solutions in the IT Sector
 
9. Best Legal Recruitment Firm - Open to all recruitment firms providing recruitment solutions to the Legal profession
 
10. Best Logistics Recruitment Firm* - Open to all recruitment firms specialising in drivers, warehouse staff, supply chain, recycling and industrial personnel
 
11. Best Marketing Recruitment Firm* - Open to all recruitment firms providing recruitment solutions to the creative, media and events industries
 
12. Best Office Support Recruitment Firm* - Open to all recruitment firms providing administration, secretarial and office support personnel
 
13. Best Public Sector Recruitment Firm - Open to all recruitment firms managing recruitment in education, healthcare, policing, the environment, local councils or any other public service
 
14. Best Retail Recruitment Firm* - Open to all recruitment firms providing recruitment solutions to the Retail industry
 
15. Best Newcomer - Open to all recruitment firms who have been in business since 1 January 2006
 
16. Best Recruitment Marketing Campaign - Open to all recruitment firms and recruitment ad agencies that have created campaigns offering effective and innovative marketing solutions
 
17. Best Recruitment Firm Website* - Open to all recruitment firms who use their own website to market their services
 
18. Best Job Board* - Open to all stand alone commercial job boards which are not affiliated directly with a recruitment firm
 
19. Best Candidate Care* - Open to all recruitment firms operating in any sector
 
20. Best Client Care* - Open to all recruitment firms operating in any sector
 
21. Best Managed Service Provider - Open to both specialist managed service providers and agencies that offer managed services in addition to traditional recruitment
 
22. Best Recruitment Firm to Work For* - Open to all recruitment firms operating in any sector
 
23. Best Recruitment to Recruitment Firm - TBC - Entry in to this category is free of charge
 
24. Gary Clark Individual Achievement Award - We invite recruitment professionals to put forward theri their peers for special recognition. Entry in to this category is free of charge
 
25. The Grand Prix Gold Award - This award cannot be entered directly.  The judges will select the winner of this award from the category winners
