Pointing recruiters to the right global talent source

On demand talent management system provider Taleo is joining forces with human capital solutions provider AIRS to help organisations develop a global 'pipeline' for sourcing talent. The product of the partnership is Taleo TalentReach, which integrates the AIRS suite of SourcePoint tools with Taleo's talent management system.

SourcePoint provides access to around 40m passive candidate profiles, with AIRS using advanced searching techniques such as spidering and x-raying to search out such talent. Currently, these profiles are predominantly North American but Chris Foreman, chief executive of AIRS, told Recruiter that it is adding UK contacts "very quickly" and is also working on this with Taleo. "The deal is very relevant to the UK market," he said, confirming that AIRS will open a UK office early next year and shortly appoint a country manager.

The partnership follows Taleo's launch of an application for social networking site Facebook and both announcements are part of its overall strategy to help clients with the sourcing of candidates. Chris Phillips, senior director of international marketing at Taleo, told Recruiter that as well as access to passive candidates, the SourcePoint tools will help recruiters to develop and manage the relationship with a potential candidate before they enter the application process. "Then, when they are ready to apply, they can be seamlessly transitioned into our talent management system," he said.

While increasing numbers of UK profiles on the AIRS database is good news for recruiters on this side of the pond, Phillips added that the global reach is also a strength of the combined systems, since many of Taleo's clients are recruiting all over the world.

TalentReach, powered by AIRS, will be sold as an add-on module to existing Taleo customers or as part of Taleo's overall system.
