Graduate recruitment

The south-west should be the destination of choice for graduates, according to a creative and marketing recruiter.
Joanne Snell, director at Gallery Resources said that the jobs market is at its highest level for two years and Gloucester, Worcester and Somerset is thriving, with some leavers even walking into jobs on mid-range salaries.
Snell said: “Graduates with a good qualification in web design are being snapped up very quickly. Generally, in the South West the jobs market for graduates is very good – better than it has been since 2006.
“If you have the right kind of degree you can walk into a good job, despite the economic conditions.
“But not enough young people think long and hard about whether their qualification will actually get them a good job – and surely that’s the most important consideration when they are choosing their options.”
