Construction sector — in Cape Town

Last month, Gemma Pope, consultant at rec-to-rec firm Aston Taylor, travelled to Cape Town as part of a project to help build homes for families in the townships to alleviate poor housing (see Diary of…, left). Aston Taylor co-sponsored Gemma’s trip, run by the charity Habitat for Humanity/Desmond Tutu Community Build, where over 120 people from across the globe took part in building 20 homes for families in the townships.
