Alston brings a wealth of experience in the technology sector, having held senior positions in global recruitment companies, and developing expertise in cloud technologies and e-commerce.

The firm plans to open a US office next year to serve its clients. SPG Resourcing has experienced rapid growth and has a team of 18 professionals across Leeds and Newcastle. It achieved revenue of £3.85m last year and is on track to reach £7m in revenue for 2023.

The firm also plans to create 10 new jobs over the coming year.

Sam Hameed, co-founder and managing director of SPG Resourcing, added: “The US tech sector is worth nearly $2 trillion (£1.6tn), and we believe that it holds a significant opportunity for SPG. Ben brings a wealth of experience and insight to the role as we launch into a new market for our business.”
